We are a local support group for people in the Bassetlaw area who suffer from bi-polar.people-group

The group was started in March 2008 with the aim of fellow bi-polar sufferers supporting each other and keeping each other well.

We have created a friendly atmosphere where you can come and discuss bi-polar in an informal and relaxed way. Our main aim is to try and maintain positive attitudes towards bi-polar and to share ways in which we all cope with having bi-polar.

As anyone with bi-polar knows, life can be extremely difficult having to cope with severe ups and downs. In our group we chat about the problems we may face on a day to day basis such as relationships with friends and family; the stigma of the illness; finding and maintaining employment and the effects of medication.

Having said this, we are all more than just bi-polar and manic depressives. Life can be fun and we have a right to enjoy it. With this in mind we also arrange social activities. We welcome you to be a part of Equilibrial so please contact us or come along to a meeting.
